So...

When I start to tell a story I normally start it with “So…” And I wasn’t aware of it until I did an internship in New York. When my manager would have to call a client from Missouri for a meeting he would get himself all set up with plenty to do during the meeting. He said we tend to talk slow and drag out words and start everything thing with ‘”So…’”. So I became aware of this habit so thought why not embrace it. Each of my blogs are like a story I would tell a friend so I would only seemed fitting I started it with “So…”.
Okay SO here goes…
My name is Jessica and I’m a fat girl. This blog will be about my struggle with my inner fat girl as I try to be a fit girl. I have struggled with my weight for a few years and this blog is a glimpse into my daily battles with myself, fitness, and food.
Bear with me through this process, as I will have slip ups and typos but I never claimed to be a fitness professional or a writer.

So… Tonight was tough!

So… Tonight was tough!
I had a crazy schedule at work and didn’t eat lunch. I know horrible for my metabolism. I know bad bad!
I met my fiance at SAMs club to get some things for the float trip. Oh was that a bad idea. Talk about torture! Mozzarella sticks, chips, candy, ice cream, pizzas… and CHEESE! CHEESE!
Oh Cheese I miss you and love you! I was looking at the cheese and thinking it’s not that bad. Trying to rationalize it. Then is cheese a carb popped in my head with a Regina George voice. Lol Yes it is!

We weren’t too bad. Mostly protein bars, fruit, meat and trying something new veggie sticks. He even had these amazing heaven in your mouth brownies on the list and we didn’t get them. YAY
But word of caution SAMs club wrong place for someone on a diet who hasn’t eaten in the last few hours.

So…not any huge changes...

So…not any huge changes.
So, not any huge changes on the scale.  But I do have a positive update anyway. I have noticed I have gotten stronger. Don’t get me wrong the workouts still kick my butt. Seriously I thought I was going to throw up and pass out last night. But when I went to the lake I am able to walk up all the stairs easily. These stairs are something else! When we unloaded the car I carried 3,  12 packs of soda (not mine) and a 1.5 gallon jug of Bleach all at the same time up all those stairs and went back for more loads.

Going to the grocery store has gotten a lot easier being able to carry all the bags up in one trip.

On the way home from the lake we stopped at the grocery store to get my fiancĂ© beer (again not mine) for our float trip this weekend. He discovered Kraftig at the Lake, thanks to my sister, and he hasn’t found it in Kansas City yet. www.kraftig.com/ So he wanted me to bring him some back.
I walked in with my wallet and phone and went back to the cooler. Grabbed one 30 pack with one hand and my phone and wallet on the other and grabbed it. I took them up to the counter. The guy looked around confused. He asked me if I carried those up by myself. I said yes. He said without a buggy. WOW you can tell when you are closer to St Louis than Kansas City. Yea I didn’t need a cart. He chitchatted and then said please let me get you a buggy. I said I’m good and easily picked the 2, 30 packs up and carried them to the car. He said whoa I am going to remember you and not mess with you. At work this week I picked up a 60 pound shipment. I really don’t think I was able to carry more than 40 before.

So even though I don’t see a huge loss on the scale I am seeing a big difference in my strength and endurance.
